Before they are delivered to the welding shop all work pieces are pre-treated by blast or vibratory abrasive machining to remove scale and sharp edges. Welded from components that have been pre-treated in this way, the machines have better quality welds. Once they have left the welding shop, the semi-finished products are treated by blasting again.
Following the preparation to grade Sa2.5, the material is passed on to one of the three paint shops for either spray, phosphate powder or cataphoretic powder coating, the last one using the electrophoretic coating method. This process allows the coating of complex-shaped parts and for this reason it is a very common practice in the automotive industry. The paint coating process is supervised by our laboratory, where the quality of the painted machines is tested.
